Chelsea star would welcome Premier League’s £40 million man
Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic would welcome the arrival of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan is currently serving a 10-game ban for sinking his teeth into the Blues defender during a Premier League clash back in April, but Chelsea have since been linked with a shock move for the want away striker. The suggestion of Suarez arriving at Chelsea has largely been scoffed at due to his past involvement with Ivanovic, but the centre-back insists any history between the pair is water under the bridge. ‘About Luis Suarez, I said straight after the game, whatever happened on the field finished there,’ said the Serb. ‘He’s one of the best strikers in the Premier League. I don’t have any problem with him.’ (The Metro) Suarez is a top class striker with bags of ability, but he is too controversial and Mourinho would not appreciate that in his team.
